A Pat Monahan le vuelven a preguntar por su Hey, Soul Sister e INXS

El portal Cleveland.com en una reciente entrevista a Pat Monahan de la banda Train, le han vuelto a preguntar por la relación de su éxito Hey, Soul Sister y su creación pensando en componer una canción, estilo INXS y también por el guiño de utilizar la frase One of my kind ("clave" en la canción Need You Tonight) que utiliza en su canción... Por supuesto, no comenta nada de su participación en el próximo disco de duetos de la banda australiana. Os dejo con el fragmento de entrevista:

I've read that with "Hey, Soul Sister," you set out to write an INXS-style song.

Yeah. I wanted to write "Need You Tonight" So those guys started with, [sings "Need You Tonight" riff] "Blink blink blink, da na na na na na na na."

I was like, "No, no, no -- that's already been written. I want to write a song like that."

You kept a nod to INXS with the phrase: "One of my kind."

You're exactly right.

So would you be insulted if I said "Hey, Soul Sister" sounds nothing like an INXS song?

[laughs] No! I would think you were crazy if you think it does sound like an INXS song.
